Spanish towns honor junior champions Hugo Quirós and Álvaro Rodríguez

The mayor of Alcázar de San Juan, Rosa Melchor, and sports councilor Javier Ortega welcomed local swimmer Hugo Quirós and his coach Raúl Carpio to celebrate Quirós' victory as Spanish Junior champion in the 50 m freestyle and his regional record in the 100 m freestyle set at the European Junior Championships in Munich.

In Adra, mayor Manuel Cortés and sports councilor Juan Antonio Fernández received junior sailor Álvaro Rodríguez, who, together with crew member Juan José Fernández, won the Snipe class World Junior Championship in Melilla, a competition that featured boats from thirteen countries. Both municipalities highlighted the athletes' achievements as examples of dedication and a source of pride for their communities.
