Spanish towns host summer festivals and school mural projects
The municipality of Ronda in Andalusia will hold the traditional Verbena del Carmen in the pedanía of Llano de la Cruz on July 17‑18. Deputy mayor Alicia López and local association president Antonio Calvente outlined a program that includes a beer tasting, musical performances, a popular bingo, a water slide castle, a free rice dish, a foam party and additional concerts.
In the city of A Coruña, the CEIP Torre de Hércules school unveiled a new mural created by artist Manuel Suárez together with children from the municipal summer camp program. Mayor Inés Rey and councilor Juan Ignacio Borrego highlighted the project as part of a broader effort to improve school facilities and engage youth in art and culture.
Both events illustrate local authorities’ emphasis on community activities and cultural participation during the summer season in Spain.
