Free summer schools open for over 600 children in Níjar and Muga, Spain

The municipality of Níjar in southern Spain has opened free summer schools for more than 300 children aged 3 to 12. The program, part of the "Níjar Concilia" initiative, operates in several localities (Campohermoso, San Isidro, Villa de Níjar, Agua Amarga, Fernán Pérez) from early July to the end of August, Monday‑Friday, 9:00‑13:00, with optional morning classes and pool access.

Meanwhile, the town of Muga is offering free summer workshops for children aged 3‑12 during the last two weeks of July. Held at the gym of Instituto José Luis Gutiérrez, the activities run Monday‑Friday, 10:30‑12:30, and are organized with the Association Vive Zamora. Both initiatives aim to provide educational and recreational options for families during the vacation period, helping parents balance work commitments with child care.

Together the two towns are providing daily free activities for more than 600 youngsters, reflecting local authorities' focus on family support and community engagement during the summer months.
