Spanish towns launch heritage trail tours in Alfoz and Aldeanueva
The municipality of Alfoz is organising a free six‑kilometre heritage walk titled “Roteiro Pazos e Lugares Senlleiros” for Saturday 4 July. The route, part of the “Polos Camiños do Mariscal” programme, will guide participants past historic manor houses, natural spaces and other local landmarks. Mayor and tourism chief Efigenia Maseda said the initiative “allows people to discover a different Alfoz, highlighting our historic, architectural and natural heritage in a dynamic, participatory way.”
In Aldeanueva del Camino, a day‑long forum on the historic Camino de la Plata will be held on Saturday. The event includes a guided walk, an exhibition, and several panel discussions covering the Roman road, pastoral routes, cultural tourism and regional development. Organisers aim to explore how the corridor can continue to support mobility, tourism, heritage preservation and economic revitalisation for the municipalities it crosses.
