Spanish towns launch summer festivals with concerts and paid entry passes

The coastal town of Baiona will host a post‑San Fermín celebration from 15 to 19 July. Free admission is offered on 15–16 July, while a 15‑euro Fêtes Pass is required for the main days. The programme includes concerts, parades, traditional Basque sports, fireworks and other activities for families and tourists.

In the Asturian town of Mieres, the San Xuan patron saint festivities ran for twelve days and featured four headline concerts that cost the municipality more than €115 000, excluding tax. The line‑up included Victor Manuel (€39 000), Panorama City (€23 500), Sanguijuelas del Guadiana (€25 000) and Celtas Cortos (€30 000). Attendance reached several thousand, with many visitors coming from other regions.

Both festivals aimed to boost local tourism and cultural life, offering a mix of free and ticketed events, musical performances and traditional celebrations.
