Spanish towns launch summer season at municipal swimming pools

The city council of Paterna opened its summer swimming season on Sunday, making three municipal pools – Carretera de Manises, Valterna Nord and La Comatora – available to the public until 6 September. Deputy mayor José Manuel Mora said the pools “are one of the municipal services with the greatest acceptance during the summer” and have become “a meeting point for many families”.

In the nearby town of Constantí, the municipal pool will begin its summer programme on 20 June and will be open daily from 12:00 to 20:00 until 11 September (closed on 22‑23 June). Season passes are offered for youths (5‑17 years), adults (18‑64 years), seniors (65+), families and single‑day tickets; children under four enter free with an adult. The facility will also run swimming courses covering basic, intermediate and advanced levels throughout July and August.
