Ronnie Wood and Imelda May to headline Valladolid's September festival
Valladolid will host a historic concert on 10 September featuring Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and Irish singer‑songwriter Imelda May, announced by Mayor Jesús Julio Carnero. The event is part of the Feria y Fiestas de la Virgen de San Lorenzo, which runs from 4 to 13 September and includes over a thousand activities across 38 city districts.
Across Spain, several municipalities have unveiled their August festival programmes. Vilafranca will run a month‑long agenda from 7 to 16 August, combining culture, heritage, music, science and sport, highlighted by the ENDINS music festival and a solar‑eclipse visualisation. Cebreros’ Feria Taurina, scheduled for 14 – 17 August, will feature mixed festivals, two bull runs and a Grand Prix despite recent wild‑fire disruptions. Guadalcázar presented its 2026 Feria y Fiestas Popular poster, created by local artist Sara Muñoz Herzog, for the 13 – 16 August celebrations.
Other towns announced summer events: Fuengirola’s Noche Viva on 1 August will showcase local bands for youth; Pinto (Madrid) named actress Anastasia Russo as the pregonera for its 9 August patron saint festivities; and the town of Tejina (Canary Islands) opened its San Bartolomé celebrations with a traditional pregón and the lighting of the “Corazón de Luces”. These announcements illustrate a nationwide wave of cultural and festive activities throughout August and early September.
