Spanish towns unveil football peace exhibit and modernize artificial turf

The municipality of Torrelodones opened the travelling exhibition “Football for Peace”, showcasing 101 official national team jerseys from around the world. The free exhibition, inaugurated by Mayor Almudena Negro and Santiago Velo de Antelo of the Academy of Diplomacy, aims to promote the message that “football, peace and coexistence” can unite cultures and combat racism. It will remain on display until 10 July before travelling to Seville.

In Albacete, the Paseo de la Cuba sports complex received a new artificial‑grass surface and upgraded facilities. The €215,513 project installed a modern synthetic turf on a 104 × 63 m field, improved drainage, irrigation and safety barriers, and added new benches, goalposts and lighting. Officials plan further field construction in the nearby Universidad Laboral area to expand local sports opportunities.
