Spanish towns Villena and Huelva roll out alcohol‑free, violence‑free festival campaigns

In Villena, the municipal government launched the Waterparties Club 2026 campaign, with more than 400 participants, to promote healthy, safe celebrations without alcohol or any form of violence. Health councilor Alba Laserna and Festivals councilor José Ferri stressed that enjoyment can rely on music, atmosphere and companionship rather than drinking. The programme includes non‑alcoholic cocktails, a 0.0% beer option, and events such as the Sunset Fiesta in Las Cruces.

In Huelva, the city renewed its “Fiesta en igualdad: + Salud + Respeto = Diversión” initiative during the Feria de Colombinas, featuring a Punto Violeta information booth. The space provides advice on gender‑based violence, responsible substance use, STI prevention, and distributes condoms and breath‑alcohol testers. QR codes in all 62 fair stalls link visitors to safety protocols.
