Spanish trade entities outline internationalization and export strategies

The Chamber of Commerce of Cádiz has begun planning its 2027 internationalization strategy to expand market access and competitiveness for local businesses. The roadmap follows a consultation process involving surveys and proposals from various business collectives and associations.

In broader trade developments, new EU customs reforms are being implemented, including the creation of the EU Customs Data Hub and the establishment of the European Union Customs Authority (EUCA). Additionally, new measures regarding steel imports include a 50% tariff and mandatory traceability requirements. Other significant trade shifts include the suspension of tariffs on 80% of imports from Armenia for two years and a free trade agreement between the EU and the Philippines aimed at eliminating 94% of tariffs.
