Spanish tycoons María del Pino and Florentino Pérez adjust stakes in Ferrovial and ACS

María del Pino Calvo‑Sotelo, the wealthiest woman in Madrid, has sold Ferrovial shares worth roughly €484 million over the past year, reducing her holding to about 8.5 % of the infrastructure group. The sales, executed through family vehicle Menosmares and coordinated by Goldman Sachs, were recorded with the U.S. SEC and came after the company’s strong performance on the New York Stock Exchange.

In a separate move, Florentino Pérez, president of construction giant ACS, increased his ownership to 14.752 % via his firm Rosán Inversiones, controlling 40.86 million shares valued at about €5.25 billion. The boost makes Pérez the largest shareholder, ahead of institutional investors such as Criteria Caixa and BlackRock. Both transactions reflect a broader reshuffling of assets among Spain’s leading business families, with markets absorbing the changes without major volatility.
