Spanish underground music scene sees new developments
New musical acts are emerging within the Spanish underground scene. In Marchena, a new band called Los Marroños has debuted. Comprised of five musicians aged 18 and 19, the group blends urban rock, punk, and noise. Their first performance took place in an informal setting at “la nave del Tito,” characterized by a bonfire and a close-knit atmosphere.
In Valladolid, the Tónal 2026 festival has announced its first confirmed act, Taqbir. The hardcore punk band, which is connected to the Moroccan diaspora, will headline the event organized by Colectivo Laika. Taqbir’s music incorporates Arabic lyrics and Moroccan musical traditions to address themes of social pressure and cultural norms. The festival is scheduled to take place on October 1, 2, and 3.
