Spanish universities launch new academic terms with focus on inclusion

Spanish universities have inaugurated new academic terms with a focus on social inclusion and lifelong learning.

In Albacete, the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) launched the tenth edition of its 'Incluye e Inserta' program. This initiative provides advanced training for young people with intellectual disabilities to promote personal autonomy and labor market integration. The program, which includes 18 students this year, is supported by Fundación ONCE and the European Social Fund.

Meanwhile, the Universitat de Lleida (UdL) opened the 2026-2027 academic year at its Igualada Campus. The inauguration emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and the university's social role in transforming society. Local officials and academic leaders attended the event, highlighting the connection between university education and regional development.
