Spanish universities launch new medical degree programs
Several Spanish universities have launched new medical degree programs. Universitat CEU Abat Oliba (CEU UAO) has commenced its first cohort of 50 students for a six-year medical degree at its new Campus Esplugues. The curriculum integrates scientific preparation with a humanistic approach and includes artificial intelligence applications from the first year.
In León, the Universidad de León has also inaugurated its first medical degree course. The implementation follows decades of local demand and involved an investment of approximately 3.8 million euros from the Junta de Castilla y León. Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, president of the Junta de Castilla y León, described the launch as a significant academic and social milestone for the province and the regional university system.
