Spanish wine industry celebrates awards and winery anniversaries

The Spanish wine sector celebrated significant milestones in Rubí and Binissalem. In Rubí, El Celler de Rubí hosted the 14th final tasting of the Premis Vinari. A jury of five experts, including enologists and sommeliers, conducted blind tastings of approximately 200 wines that had passed preliminary rounds. The final results are scheduled to be announced on October 2 during a gala in Vilafranca del Penedès.

In Binissalem, Bodegas José Luis Ferrer marked its 95th anniversary with a traditional dinner held among its vineyards. The event, attended by over 500 guests including local officials and business representatives, served as a precursor to the festivities of La Vermada. The celebration honored the history of the winery founded by José L. Ferrer.
