Spanish wineries expand enotourism through harvest experiences
Wineries in Spain are increasingly offering enotourism experiences that allow visitors to participate in the grape harvest and engage with viticulture through immersive activities.
In Galicia, wineries such as Martín Códax, Regina Viarum, Viña Costeira, and As Laxas are organizing harvest experiences. Bodegas Martín Códax, for instance, has opened its experimental vineyard in Meis to the public, allowing guests to participate in the harvest of Albariño grapes in a setting that combines agricultural tradition with social activities like tastings and live music.
In Fontanars dels Alforins, the Vinya Alforí project at the El Peller estate offers experiences that go beyond conventional tastings. Following the rehabilitation of an ancient manor house, the winery provides immersive tastings, vineyard tours, and specialized events, such as wine and chocolate pairings or creative wine-themed painting sessions, to connect visitors with the local landscape and tradition.
