Spanish Youth Solidarity Network Concludes 2025‑26 Program Amid Funding Boost for Galician Parent Groups

The Red Solidaria de Jóvenes (RSJ) wrapped up its 2025‑26 course, bringing together more than 420 participants—including 373 youths, 47 educators and volunteers—from five autonomous communities and 37 socio‑educational centres. Highlights featured a Global Encounter, visits from Fe y Alegría, and a focus on critical thinking, gender equality, migration, interculturality and socio‑environmental justice. Closing assemblies were held in Valencia, Andalusia and other regions, with international guests from Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina and Peru sharing experiences.

At the same time, the Xunta de Galicia approved grants for 27 parent‑teacher associations (ANPA) across the four Galician provinces. The Confederation of ANPAS Galegas received the largest allocation of roughly €9,900, with other significant sums going to CONFAPA (€8,200) and various provincial federations. The funding will support extracurricular activities, family programmes, material costs and maintenance of school facilities, including special‑education centres.
