Spanish Youth Swimming Clubs Celebrate National Successes

The City Council of Castellón honored Club Natación Azahar Sincro for its athletes' national achievements. Councilor for Sports Maica Hurtado praised swimmers Balma García, Kira González, Valeria González, Minerva Mondéjar and Ariadna Bodí, who helped the Valencian team win bronze in the combined routine at the Spanish Children’s Championships in Madrid. The ceremony also recognised male figure swimmer Eric Babiloni, who placed second in the men’s figures at the Spanish Alevín Artistic Swimming Championship in Sabadell. Club president Sergio Babiloni and coaches attended.

In Andalusia, Club Natación Jerez saw its junior swimmers Alfonso Rendón Mateos and Leandro Reinado Hurtado qualify for the Spanish Alevín Summer Championship in Cádiz. Rendón Mateos placed seventh in the 200 m backstroke final, improving his time, while Reinado Hurtado posted a strong 50 m freestyle result. Their performances were highlighted as evidence of the club’s growing role in national‑level youth swimming.
