Spar invests 12 million euros in Tann production site in Dornbirn

Spar Vorarlberg has completed a 12 million euro expansion of its Tann meat processing facility in Dornbirn, Austria. The project has increased the production area from 5,300 to over 6,100 square meters, including 800 square meters of new space and the renovation of 1,100 square meters of existing facilities.

The investment focuses on modernizing production, storage, and cooling areas, with a significant emphasis on the growing convenience food sector. The facility's specialty kitchen has expanded to nearly four times its original size to accommodate the production of ready-to-eat meat dishes.

The Dornbirn site currently employs approximately 80 people who process about 20 tons of meat and sausage products daily. Carina Pollhammer, Managing Director of Spar Vorarlberg, stated that the investment strengthens the location long-term and aims to combine regional quality with modern product demands.
