Sparda Bank Group announces intent to acquire Uni Banka

The Sparda Bank Group has officially submitted a notice of intent to acquire all registered ordinary shares issued by Uni Banka AD Skopje. This announcement marks the initial step in the acquisition process.

The transaction is subject to various legal and regulatory procedures, requiring mandatory approvals from relevant institutions in North Macedonia as well as appropriate international regulatory bodies. Sparda Bank Group stated that the move is part of its strategy for sustainable growth and aims to strengthen its presence in the Macedonian market.

Georg Bucher, Chairman of the Management Board of Sparda Bank Group and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Sparda Bank AD Skopje, expressed confidence in the long-term growth potential of the Macedonian banking sector.
