Sparda-Bank Nürnberg donates school supplies to families in Germany and Austria
Sparda-Bank Nürnberg eG is donating 130 high-quality school bag sets to children in Schweinfurt to assist low-income families with the costs of starting the school year. This initiative, which began in 2013, is part of a larger effort by the bank to provide approximately 1,200 school bags to children in need throughout Northern Bavaria. The distribution in Schweinfurt is being managed by the local Jobcenter.
In Austria, SOS-Kinderdorf is providing support to 65 school children in Burgenland. Social pedagogue Carina Kandlhofer describes efforts to assist children facing challenges such as school refusal, using methods like reward systems to encourage regular attendance and helping with school materials and homework.
