Sparkassen-Clubraum-Contest launches 2026/27 season

The Sparkassen-Clubraum-Contest is launching its 2026/27 season, featuring 26 bands and solo acts performing across eight cities in the Recklinghausen district. The competition, which runs from November to March, includes ten acts participating for the first time. The musical range spans rock, pop-punk, experimental, and medieval-influenced sounds.

At each event, a combination of audience votes and a jury will determine which performers advance. The final is scheduled for May 1, 2027, to coincide with the opening of the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. The winner will earn a performance at the Bochum Total music festival.

Since 2013, this music promotion project by Sparkasse Vest Recklinghausen has supported local artists. Beyond the contest, the project serves as a platform to connect musicians with regional event organizers for various local festivals and markets.
