Sparkassen-VitusCup introduces girls' category in 20th edition

The 20th edition of the Sparkassen-VitusCup, a primary school football tournament in Mönchengladbach, will feature a new dedicated competition for girls' teams. A record 48 teams are scheduled to participate in the preliminary rounds at CampusPark Rheydt on September 15 and 16, 2025.

The tournament includes 32 boys' teams and 16 girls' teams in the preliminary stages. The top four teams from each group will advance to the final round on September 23, where 16 boys' teams and eight girls' teams will compete for the titles.

In collaboration with Borussia Mönchengladbach, all participating teams will receive an invitation to a home game. Additionally, the four finalist teams will be awarded a training camp at Borussia-Park. The event is organized by the Mönchengladbach Department of School and Sport with support from the Stadtsparkasse Mönchengladbach.
