Sparks to Release First Live Album Recorded on the Moon

American rock duo Sparks announced their first official live album, Live on The Moon, slated for release on 14 August via Transgressive. The 20‑track set captures a concert performed at the Taruntius Crater near Mare Fecunditatis, where the band played to a sold‑out lunar audience.

The performance featured Sparks’ live lineup—guitarists Eli Pearl and Evan Weiss, bassist Max Whipple and drummer Darren Weiss—along with a cameo by actress Cate Blanchett, who entertained the crew during the four‑day flight to the Moon. The band said they were “honored to be the first band to perform on the Moon.”

In addition to the lunar release, Sparks announced a series of UK and European shows for August, continuing their 2025 world tour.
