Sparta Prague eyes title win with key signings and revamped mindset

Coach Brian Priske said Sparta Prague does not need a flood of new players but must identify the key signings that will restore the club’s hunger for the league title after missing it by four points last season. He stressed that “the desire for the trophy” must return, alongside a possible shift in the club’s mental approach.

Sparta has already added Gambian striker Ebrima Singhateh, Hungarian goalkeeper Krisztián Hegyi and defender Viktor Vytály to the squad. Sporting director Tomáš Rosický noted further moves are expected, mentioning the possible return of loanees Adam Karabec and Martin Suchomel, as well as monitoring the status of players such as Kaan Kairinen and Albion Rrahmani. The team will begin a pre‑season camp on 6 July in Grassau, Germany, with a friendly against Opava scheduled beforehand.

Priske and Rosický both highlighted the need for continuity, increased speed on the flanks, and a renewed competitive spirit as Sparta prepares for the upcoming season.
