Sparta Prague eliminated from Champions League as Liberec advances

Sparta Prague has been eliminated from the UEFA Women's Champions League following a loss in Geneva. Despite a stronger performance in the second half, the team was unable to convert chances and conceded a third goal late in the match to Sobalová. This marks the first time since the 2020/21 season that Sparta has failed to reach the main phase of the competition, dropping instead into the second qualifying round of the Women's European Cup.

In contrast, FC Slovan Liberec successfully advanced to the second qualifying round of the European Cup. After a 1-1 draw in the second leg against Sarajevo, following a 3-2 victory in the first leg, Liberec secured their progression through a goal by Michaela Ferencová. This represents a historic debut in UEFA women's competitions for the Liberec side.
