Sparta Prague's pre‑season hit by midfield injury
Czech club Sparta Prague's summer training camp in Grassau, Germany hit a setback when Norwegian midfielder Sivert Mannsverk suffered a knee injury and was forced to miss a session. The 24‑year‑old, who joined Sparta permanently from Ajax and is seen as a key component of Brian Priske’s midfield, remains under medical observation, leaving the coach uncertain about his availability for the start of the league.
The camp also saw Adam Karabec sidelined by a stomach illness, while other squad members continued conditioning drills. Sparta, preparing for the upcoming season, now faces the challenge of finalising its starting eleven without Mannsverk and managing Karabec’s recovery.
