Spartak Pleven coach reacts to ENBL loss against AEL Limassol

Spartak Pleven head coach Zhelko Lukayich stated that his team has significant work to do following a 61:79 home defeat against AEL Limassol in the European North Basketball League (ENBL).

Lukayich attributed the loss to the Cypriot side's aggressive defense and physical advantage, noting that AEL's American players utilized their height and build to create open shooting opportunities. The coach identified psychological issues as the cause for poor offensive performance and low shooting accuracy, specifically citing a 19.2 percent success rate for three-pointers and 37.5 percent for free throws during the match.

Looking forward, Lukayich emphasized the need for better decision-making and concentration rather than relying solely on effort. He also expressed hope that Aleksandar Danilovic will resume training soon to determine his availability for the roster.
