Spartak Plovdiv visits 1,000 first-graders for new school year

Spartak Plovdiv football players visited nearly 1,000 first-grade students in the Yuzhen district of Plovdiv to mark the start of the new school year. Head coach Kyriakos Georgiou, captain Vladimir Aitov, and other first-team players met with children, parents, and teachers at local schools to encourage both academic success and physical activity.

As part of the visit, students received notebooks and pens featuring the club's emblem, while schools were provided with footballs and training bibs. This event launches the club's new initiative, ‘Good luck, little gladiators!’, which aims to become a tradition involving local schools and kindergartens.

The initiative is also part of preparations for the club's 80th anniversary in 2027. In celebration, the club plans to organize a large football tournament in May 2027 for all schools and kindergartens in the Yuzhen district, supported by the Plovdiv Municipality and Mayor Atanas Kunchev.
