CSKA 1948 held to 0‑0 draw by Spartak Trnava in Conference League qualifier

Bulgarian side CSKA 1948 Sofia and Slovak club Spartak Trnava finished their first‑leg encounter of the UEFA Conference League second‑qualifying round level at 0‑0. The match was played at the Anton Malatinský stadium in Trnava, Slovakia, in front of more than 10,000 spectators.

Both teams created several chances. Spartak’s captain Erik Sabo and forward Darío Diallo threatened the Bulgarian goal, while CSKA’s striker Mamadu Diallo and midfielder Khorkheli had opportunities that were saved by the opposing goalkeeper Peter Marinov. The goalless result leaves the tie completely open, with the decisive return leg scheduled in Sofia later in July.

CSKA coach Aleksandar Alexandrov expressed disappointment, saying the team failed to capitalize on clear chances. Betting analysis ahead of the match gave a slight edge to CSKA 1948, quoting odds around 2.12 for a home win despite the draw. The result means the clubs will meet again to decide who advances to the third qualifying round.
