Speaker Moses Wetang’ula attends Vatican General Audience

Kenya's National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula attended a General Audience at the Vatican on Wednesday, August 26, presided over by Pope Leo XIV. Wetang’ula described the event as a moment of fellowship and reflection, noting that the gathering focused on themes of peace, hope, and service to humanity.

The visit follows Kenya's recent establishment of a resident diplomatic mission to the Holy See. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi previously announced that President William Ruto appointed Kenya's first ambassador to the Holy See to strengthen diplomatic relations between the two entities.
