Special Economic Zone aims to reduce Italy's North-South economic gap

The economic disparity between Northern and Southern Italy remains a significant challenge for the nation. However, the Mezzogiorno region possesses substantial resources in sectors such as tourism, agri-food, craftsmanship, the maritime economy, and cultural heritage that could help bridge this gap.

To support this development, the Special Economic Zone (ZES) plays a critical role by incentivizing investments in the South. These incentives include reduced bureaucracy, tax credits, and social security contribution relief for new hires.
