Special Olympics BiH launches Volunteer HUB for youth
Special Olympics Bosnia and Herzegovina has launched the ‘Volunteer HUB’ program, a youth leadership summit scheduled for September 3–5 in Sarajevo. The initiative is part of the preparations for the 2026 National Inclusive Games.
The program aims to connect the academic community, future professionals, and young volunteers to build a long-term network focused on social inclusion and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities. Participating institutions include the Universities of Sarajevo, Tuzla, and Mostar, as well as Apeiron Pan-European University.
Participants, including high school and university students, will engage in educational workshops and practical activities. The program offers hands-on experience in areas such as leadership, communication with persons with disabilities, health support, and sports event organization. Students in fields like medicine, dentistry, sports, and rehabilitation can apply their academic knowledge through specific segments such as the ‘Healthy Athletes’ program and support for delegations.
