Special Olympics rowing competition held at Lago di Roffia
The fourth edition of the Special Olympics rowing competition took place at Lago di Roffia on September 26-27. The event, which has gained European significance over the last two years, attracted interest from German and French clubs.
Italian clubs from Trieste, Torino, Livorno, Chiusi, and La Spezia participated in the races. The competition included qualifying heats, rowing ergometer tests, and finals in both two-person and four-person boats. Canottieri Velocior La Spezia secured first place, followed by Canottieri Adria 1877 Trieste in second and Armida Torino in third.
During the event, Canottieri San Miniato signed two twinning agreements: one with the French club Aviron Club Six-Fours from the Côte d'Azur and another with Canottieri Adria of Trieste, which will celebrate its 150th anniversary next year.
