Special School of Ilioupoli renovated after student's letter to Prime Minister

The Special School of Ilioupoli in Greece has undergone a complete renovation and upgrade following a letter sent by student Panagiotis Papadopoulos to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis regarding inadequate school infrastructure.

The renovation project was implemented through the ‘Marietta Giannoukou’ National Program, with co-financing from Alpha Bank, Eurobank, National Bank of Greece, and Piraeus Bank. The works were supervised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Buildings and Building Infrastructure.

Improvements include the modernization of classrooms, toilets, and the installation of access ramps for individuals with mobility difficulties. The project also involved upgrading the school courtyard with new sports fields and constructing modern roofing. Following the completion of the works, Papadopoulos expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for addressing the school's needs.
