Specialist Sergeant Ahmet Balaban Honored in Tatvan Funeral After Fatal Traffic Crash

A traffic accident in the Tatvan district of Bitlis province claimed the life of Piyade Uzman Çavuş Ahmet Balaban, who was serving with the Tatvan 10th Commando Brigade. The soldier's body was taken to Tatvan State Hospital where a funeral ceremony was held.

The ceremony was attended by Bitlis Governor Ahmet Karakaya, the brigade's deputy commander Albay Sertaç Özkal, the district governor, the provincial gendarmerie commander, the police chief, the health director, military personnel, and many local residents. After prayers and tributes, Balaban's remains were sent to his hometown for burial.
