Specialized security and military units conduct tactical exercises
Specialized security and military units in the region are conducting large-scale tactical exercises. In Republika Srpska, the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized the ‘Kozara 2026’ exercise to mark the 10th anniversary of its Training Center. The simulation focused on the readiness of special units, including the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit and Gendarmerie, to respond to complex security threats such as terrorism. Officials, including Prime Minister Savo Minić and Milorad Dodik, attended the event, which emphasized continued investment in police equipment and personnel.
Simultaneously, the Serbian Armed Forces are conducting the ‘Pobednik 2026’ joint tactical exercise, which includes live-fire drills. Military police units are participating in the final phase of the exercise, practicing counter-sabotage operations, territory control, and neutralizing diversionary groups. The training involves modern weaponry and covers tasks such as drone countermeasures and medical evacuations. General Milan Mojsilović inspected the activities at the ‘Međa’ training ground, noting that investments in military police capacities will continue to address modern security threats.
