Specialized updates Levo 4 and Levo R e-MTB lineups
Specialized has announced significant updates to its Levo 4 and Levo R e-MTB lineups, focusing on suspension technology and battery capacity. A major highlight is the expansion of the GENIE suspension system to models equipped with RockShox Super Deluxe shock absorbers.
The GENIE system utilizes a dual-air chamber design. During the first 70% of the travel, both chambers function together to increase air volume, enhancing sensitivity to small impacts and improving traction. In the final stage of the travel, the outer chamber progressively isolates, reducing volume to increase progressivity and prevent bottoming out during heavy impacts.
For the flagship S-Works versions, Specialized has introduced a 900 Wh integrated battery, a 7% increase over the previous 840 Wh model. This capacity allows for up to 3.53 hours of use, which can be extended to 4.63 hours using an optional 280 Wh Range Extender. Additionally, these models feature the FOX Transfer NEO E-Optimized electronic dropper post, which connects directly to the bike’s internal electrical system, eliminating the need for independent batteries.
