Speed checks imposed in Wolfsburg and Neversdorf, Germany

From 8 to 14 June, the city of Wolfsburg will operate mobile speed‑camera units on several streets, including Hubertusstraße, the Balken, Dresdener Ring and Obere Tor. The municipality said speeding is the leading cause of traffic accidents and that the enforcement generated record fine revenues of €5.74 million in 2025.

On 4 June 2026, police in Neversdorf carried out a laser speed measurement on the L 167, where a 30 km/h limit is enforced due to poor road conditions. About 85 % of the 28 drivers measured exceeded the limit, with three drivers reaching 63 km/h. Fines of €100‑200 and points on the driving record were issued to the offenders.
