Speed Darlington seeks boxing match with Burna Boy

Nigerian musician Speed Darlington has expressed his intention to physically confront Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy, suggesting a boxing match as a way to resolve their ongoing animosity.

Darlington stated in recent interviews that he intends to face Burna Boy in the ring following a scheduled bout against content creator Carter Efe. He expressed a desire to “offload all my anger” on the singer, citing a long-standing grudge stemming from a previous arrest. Darlington has linked his prior detention to Burna Boy, claiming, “He had me locked up, that’s what he did to me.”

The tension between the two follows a legal dispute involving allegations of defamation. Darlington had previously alleged that Burna Boy maintained an illicit relationship with American rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in exchange for his Grammy award. While Darlington was previously remanded in custody regarding these claims, he was later granted bail, though the legal matter remains unresolved.
