Leon Madsen wins Speedway Euro Championship by one point

Leon Madsen has claimed his third Speedway Euro Championship (SEC) title following a dramatic final round in Pardubice. The Dane secured the championship by a single point over Poland’s Maciej Janowski in the overall standings.

Although Janowski won the final round in Pardubice, Madsen’s consistent performance throughout the cycle allowed him to edge out the Pole. Janowski finished as the individual silver medalist, while Kacper Woryna secured the bronze medal for Poland.

The competition was highly contested, with seven riders holding mathematical chances for the title entering the final round. The results also impact future qualification for the Speedway Grand Prix; Janowski narrowly missed out on direct qualification for the 2027 season due to the one-point margin.
