Speedway Kraków: Political issues prevented Nicki Pedersen signing

Mikołaj Frankiewicz, president of Speedway Kraków, revealed that local political developments prevented the club from signing Danish speedway rider Nicki Pedersen last year.

According to Frankiewicz, negotiations with Pedersen were nearly finalized through partner companies. However, a local referendum decision in April disrupted investment plans and prevented the acquisition of the sponsor necessary to secure the rider.

Pedersen, who previously rode for Innpro ROW Rybnik, was considered a strong candidate for the Krajowa Liga Żużlowa. Frankiewicz noted that the rider would have likely excelled in the league under a points-based pay structure rather than a fixed salary.
