Speedway riders discuss professional duties and season challenges

Polish speedway riders have shared insights into their professional lives and the 2026 season. Kevin Fajfer experienced a season of significant highs and lows, beginning with strong performances in the Krajowa Liga Żużlowa. Despite suffering lumbar spine injuries and fractured transverse processes that sidelined him for a month, Fajfer returned to maintain his scoring levels. Following the termination of his contract with Gniezno due to financial reasons, he joined Gezet Stal Gorzów for the PGE Ekstraliga playoffs, contributing points to help the team maintain its league status.

In a separate discussion regarding life outside the track, speedway rider Jakub Jamróg spoke about his role as a volunteer firefighter. Jamróg noted that volunteer units in Poland are well-equipped and often arrive at emergency scenes faster than professional services. He highlighted that his training, including qualified first aid courses, has allowed him to assist medical teams in life-saving resuscitation efforts.
