Speedway star Fredrik Lindgren pulls out of Polish Grand Prix over injury

Swedish Speedway Grand Prix rider Fredrik Lindgren will miss the August round in Łódź after a leg injury sustained in a May crash at Leszno. His manager, Carolina Jonasdotter, said the wound requires a longer rehabilitation period than initially expected and that Lindgren is undergoing intensive treatment.

Anders Thomsen will replace Lindgren for the event. Jonasdotter denied rumours that the Swedish rider’s season is over, stating the goal is for him to return to full fitness and resume racing as soon as possible.
