Several speleology training programs are scheduled to take place in Italy.

In Lecco, the CAI Lecco Speleological Group is organizing an introductory course from October 14 to 18, 2026. The program includes theoretical lessons on karst and speleogenesis, practical training in a gym, and a cave excursion. The course is open to individuals aged 15 and older, with limited availability for 10 participants.

In Castellana Grotte, the Gruppo Puglia Grotte APS is launching its 52nd edition of the Introduction to Speleology course, running from September 20 to November 8, 2026. Directed by Modesto Tartarelli and approved by the Società Speleologica Italiana, the curriculum covers rope progression, geology, accident prevention, and cave biology. Practical outings will take place in various locations, including the Gargano and Matese areas.
