Spencer Pratt claims arson in Los Angeles crystal shop fire amid mayoral race fallout

A fire broke out at the Pacific Palisades office of Spencer Pratt's crystals company in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles Fire Department's Arson Unit was called to investigate, but no cause has been confirmed. Pratt, a former reality‑TV star and recent mayoral candidate, told The California Post that the blaze was "no accident" and suggested it could be a politically motivated reprisal for his criticism of Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilmember Nithya Raman. He said the timing, coming weeks after a contentious election, was "very suspect." The office is located in the Highlands Circle complex, a building that survived the larger Palisades Fire of January 2025 and was under renovation when the new blaze occurred. Pratt’s allegations add to the heated post‑election discourse, with the former candidate accusing unnamed city actors of trying to silence dissent.
