Spencer Pratt vows to expose alleged corruption after conceding Los Angeles mayoral race

Former reality‑TV personality Spencer Pratt conceded the Los Angeles mayoral primary on June 2, 2026, finishing third with about 25 percent of the vote and missing the November runoff between incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilmember Nithya Raman. In a three‑minute video titled “Saving LA – Phase III,” Pratt announced that the campaign phase of his “mission to save Los Angeles” was over and declared a new “war” to expose what he described as a corrupt political machine.

Pratt claimed to possess audio recordings that could force one of the remaining candidates to resign in shame, saying, “We have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame.” He criticized both Bass and Raman as “morons” and warned that the city would “tumble headlong into the abyss” without his continued scrutiny. The former candidate also referenced issues such as homelessness, crime, and the 2025 Palisades Fire, and noted that he is no longer bound by campaign‑finance limits.

Although Pratt previously received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump, who alleged election fraud, he accepted the primary result and shifted his focus to a post‑campaign effort to investigate alleged corruption, suggesting possible FBI involvement.
