Spencer Pratt’s Lead Shrinks in Los Angeles Mayoral Race Against Nithya Raman

Los Angeles County officials reported that reality‑TV star Spencer Pratt’s advantage over City Councilwoman Nithya Raman has narrowed to about 1 percentage point, with Pratt at 27.3 % and Raman at 26.2 % of the vote after 78 % of ballots were counted. The margin follows a decline from an earlier near‑6 % lead on Thursday.

The race remains part of California’s top‑two primary system, which will advance the two candidates with the most votes to the November ballot. Incumbent Mayor Karen Bass has already been projected to move on to the runoff, where she will face either Pratt or Raman.

The results come as voters also await outcomes of the state’s gubernatorial primary, where Democrat Xavier Becerra has advanced to the general election.
