Spendthrift Farm adds Baeza and Further Ado to 2027 stallion roster

Spendthrift Farm has announced the addition of Grade 1 winners Baeza and Further Ado to its stallion roster for the 2027 breeding season. Both horses will enter stud following the conclusion of their racing careers.

Baeza, a son of McKinzie, is noted for his consistency in top-level competition. He placed in both the Kentucky Derby and the Belmont Stakes before winning the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby. He is the third Grade 1-winning son of the broodmare of the year, Puca, who also produced Classic winners Mage and Dornoch.

Further Ado, a son of Gun Runner trained by Brad Cox, is recognized for his significant margins of victory, including a 20-length maiden win at Keeneland and an 11-length victory in the Grade 1 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes. He also secured a win in the Grade 3 Matt Winn Stakes.
