Spezia Calcio signs Galo Capomaggio from Salernitana

Spezia Calcio has officially secured the signing of Argentine midfielder Galo Capomaggio from Salernitana. The deal is a temporary transfer lasting until June 30, 2027, with an obligation for Spezia to purchase the player permanently.

Club official Guido Angelozzi prioritized Capomaggio to provide physical presence and leadership to the midfield under manager Marco Turati. This move comes after the club decided not to pursue a return for Matteo Ricci, opting instead for Capomaggio’s different tactical profile.

In recent competitive action, Spezia defeated Torres 4-1 in the Coppa Italia Serie C. While the match featured a standout performance from players like Sapola and Candelari, the victory was marked by a late surge where Spezia scored three goals in ten minutes to secure the win.
